Competenze

Among the competences attributed to the Mayor as head of the Municipal Administration:

  • convenes and presides over the municipal council, ensuring unity of direction, promoting and coordinating the activities of the councilors;
  • appoints the heads of the offices and services, assigns and defines managerial and external collaboration duties according to the methods and criteria established by law and the Articles of Association;
  • supervises the functioning of the municipal services and offices and the execution of the acts;
  • oversees the performance of state and regional functions attributed or delegated to the Municipality;
  • oversees compliance with the regulations;
  • issues directives for the exercise of administrative police functions and supervises and coordinates the local police service;
  • coordinates the hours of shops, public establishments and public services, as well as the opening hours to the public of public offices located in the area, considering the needs of the various population groups concerned;
  • responds directly or through the Councilors, within the deadline set by the Municipal Council Regulations, to questions and to any other request for inspection presented by the Councilors;
  • fulfills the other powers conferred on it by the Statute and the laws.
