Municipal Patronage

Anyone willing to apply for the patronage of the Municipality of Cortina d'Ampezzo and use the municipal coat of arms.

- individual and associated local organizations, other public organizations, organizations and associations in which local authorities participate,

- associations, foundations, non-profit organizations, committees and other organizations of a social, cultural, educational, sporting, scientific, tourist and economic nature that operate on a non-profit basis,

- social, cultural, educational, sporting, scientific, tourist and economic institutions of municipal interest, educational institutions of all types and levels, professional orders and colleges, universities and cultural, scientific, educational, sporting, economic and social institutions of national interest,

- private or public entities

Patronage represents an important form of recognition through which the Municipality of Cortina d'Ampezzo expresses its symbolic adherence and manifestation of appreciation to initiatives and events, which take on particular institutional importance or have contents and meanings worthy of interest for the local community and for the territory for their social, cultural, artistic, scientific, tourist and educational purposes. It can be granted for initiatives that take place at least in part in the municipal area and also for initiatives that, while meeting the purposes described above, are promoted by private or public organizations for profit. The granting of patronage consists in the authorization to use only the name of the Municipality of Cortina d'Ampezzo and its coat of arms. Patronage must be mentioned in all forms of dissemination of the initiative such as press releases, posters, brochures, headed paper, publications, catalogs etc., which must bear the print of the coat of arms of the Municipality of Cortina d'Ampezzo and the words "With the patronage of the Municipality of Cortina d'Ampezzo ". In the event of a lack of such indications or an incorrect use of the name and the municipal coat of arms, the Administration reserves the right not to sponsor further initiatives promoted by the same subject.

The administrative procedure for applying for municipal sponsorship is as follows:

- the request received is registered and forwarded to the competent office, which proceeds with the instruction of the procedure and the acquisition of the opinion of the Mayor regarding the granting of the requested patronage;

- if the initiative is recognized as valuable and of interest, the act of granting the patronage is prepared, signed by the Head of the competent service, which is communicated to the applicant;

- if, on the other hand, the initiative is not recognized as being of interest for the aforementioned purposes, a negative provision of patronage signed by the Head of the competent service is issued, subject to notice pursuant to art. 10 bis of the law of 7 August 1990 n. 240 of the reasons hindering the acceptance of the application, with deadline for the submission of any comments by the interested party;

- if necessary, the Head of the investigation may request additional elements of inquiry and /or additions to the documentation already produced: these additions must reach the requesting office within 15 days of receipt of the request by the interested party: in in this case, the deadline for concluding the procedure will remain suspended until the additions are received by the requesting office or until the deadline for their production has expired;

Deadline for concluding the procedure: 30 days.
