Descrizione
Originally the chapel was therefore privately owned, but in 1939 it was sold to the parish of Cortina. There are no objects of particular historical or artistic interest inside, but what makes this building suggestive is its location in a meadow, where a row of trees shade the road that gently climbs from the houses of Cojana towards the chapel. The small size of the building and the simplicity of its plan are made elegant by the presence of the airy portico in dark wood, resting on slender supports, which matches the lantern bell tower above and creates a mediation between the reduced volume of the church. and the vast space that surrounds it. The interior declares a precise attention to the models of neo-Gothic architecture, which had great success in the first post-war period, and is enlivened by the brick red color of the walls and the blue of the ceiling that match the wooden altar and the bas-relief of the Madonna with Child of Neo-Renaissance taste.
The holiday occurs on 12 September in honor of the Holy Name of Mary.
